In 2000, Brannon Howse organized a speaking event for Darrell Scott. His daughter, Rachel Scott, was the first student murdered at Columbine and specifically targeted because of her Christian faith on April 20, 1999. Over 3000 people were in attendance and it was the first of many such speaking events organized by Brannon with Darrell Scott across America. The evening featured the 13 crosses that became internationally known and represented each student that was slain. These crosses appeared on a hill above Columbine High School.

IN 2010 Bill Haslam called the cell phone of Brannon Howse and asked Brannon if he, like other gubernatorial candidates could speak to his large worldview class in Collierville, TN. Bill did an excellent job speaking about Christian worldview issues that evening and went on to win the election for Governor and serve two consecutive terms.
